Senior Claims Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Claims Manager, where you'll play a key role in managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims and achieving the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
Your Responsibilities- Proactively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs
- Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy
- Assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations, and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery
- Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments
- Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme
- An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to provide customer-centric support
- A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management
- A team player who likes to work collaboratively and can also work independently
