The Opportunity
We are seeking a Claims Management Specialist to join our team in Sydney, working in our Emergency Services portfolios. As a key member of our claims team, you will play a crucial role in assisting injured workers return to employment. You will be the central point of contact for the injured worker, employer, and stakeholders involved in the treatment plan.
We are looking for individuals with a degree in psychology or a similar health science field. If you are passionate about utilizing your Allied Health background to make a difference, this role is for you.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Tweed office, with flexibility to work from home.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims, focusing on physical and psychological injuries
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, doctors, and rehabilitation providers
- Develop and implement strategies to improve recovery and return to work outcomes
- Collaborate with Injury Management Specialists to develop plans for injured workers' return to work journeys
About You
- Allied Health background with experience in customer service is highly desirable
- Ability to work well within a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for helping people and ability to handle challenging conversations
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to think creatively when engaging with stakeholders
- Empathetic, resilient, and able to work well under pressure
- Experience managing, negotiating, and influencing positive outcomes
- You pride yourself on giving world-class customer service and have experience building rapport and collaborative relationships with each customer/client
