Problem Gambling Specialist

Avoiding gambling harm requires a strategic approach to treatment. As a Problem Gambling Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing targeted interventions and support services for individuals, families, and community members affected by problem gambling.

This dynamic role encompasses multiple service modalities, including face-to-face, telephone, and online sessions. You will be responsible for delivering expert therapeutic counselling to clients, developing tailored treatment plans, and facilitating group support sessions to address problem gambling in the community.

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding position, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology or Counselling, supplemented by a Diploma in Counselling or a related field.
  • Current membership of a relevant professional body or association.
