As our Team Leader, Events, you'll be the driving force behind the scenes, guiding a talented team, juggling plans and timelines, and making sure every detail comes together for show-stopping community events. From first idea to final pack-down, you'll keep everything (and everyone) on track so our region's celebrations run like clockwork.In this role you will:
  • Lead and manage the Events team, providing clear direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of Council-led events, and support the success of community and commercial events in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.
  • Coordinate collaboration across departments, community groups, and agencies to streamline event delivery.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has proven leadership experience in event coordination or management.
  • Possesses strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficient processes.
  • Communicates effectively, builds strong working relationships, and leads by example.
