The Opportunity: Account Development Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Development Executive to cover the ANZ region, joining a high-performing, dynamic, and creative team that works cross-functionally across sales, field marketing, channels, and solution consulting. The account development mission involves identifying new business opportunities in strategic accounts while engaging with clients to increase awareness of new OpenText products and solutions across diverse industries.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality sales pipelines for Account Executives by engaging with prospects and existing customers to identify potential projects.
  • Drive business conversations with senior stakeholders from IT and the business - up to an executive level.
  • Schedule and host discovery calls between your AEs and prospects.
  • Design and execute prospecting plays/campaigns into strategic accounts.
  • Follow up on leads generated by Field Marketing activities in a timely and organized manner.
  • Research, call, email, and build relationships with clients using social media platforms.
  • Self-plan to support training & enablement and maintain attention to detail in management reviews.
  • Travel in the region as necessary to attend client events and represent OpenText while prospecting onsite.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in lead generation and sales, preferably with a background or interest in technology and software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and understand client needs.
  • Prior experience working with clients in the ANZ market is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills are required.
  • The ability to think outside the box when researching leads and finding new ways to showcase how OpenText solutions can help clients achieve their goals.
  • A proven track record of autonomy, ownership, and execution is essential.
  • A strong willingness to learn, adapt, change, and grow as a professional.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office) is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.

Benefits and Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits that foster collaboration, innovation, and personal growth within our vibrant workplace.
