We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our National Optus Business Centre team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth in the Mid-Market Segment, targeting organizations with employees across Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business centres, partner sales managers, and solutions consultants to achieve comprehensive sales results and expand market reach.
  • Create opportunities from prospect lists using a mix of digital engagement, cold calling, and other lead generation techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, serving as the primary point of contact for sales-related inquiries and support for major customers.
  • Meet business targets such as new gross adds in mobiles, mobile broadband, and fixed voice/data.
  • Provide customers with a unique experience and engage with senior executives from various organizations.
  • Lead and shape the sales strategy for partners, working with them to achieve the best results and targeting the most valuable customers across the country.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that will enable a constantly renewed and updated opportunity pipeline.
  • Coach sales teams to identify, pursue, and close high-value deals through a strong understanding of the territory and best practice approaches.
Requirements
  • Extensive senior business development experience.
  • Commercially astute with a sound understanding of business drivers.
  • Experience in operating in both relationship and transactional sales and marketing environments.
  • Proven sales track record in achieving growth through acquisition strategies and sales teams.
  • Extensive relationship/strategic sales experience within the telecommunications and/or IT sectors.
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, to internal and external senior executives.
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills.
  • Solid product and industry knowledge.
