Job Title: Asia Pacific Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Tailings and Mine Waste Engineering team in the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tailings engineering, experience managing teams, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership role with broad responsibilities across project delivery, financial performance, team development, and health and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and strengthening the team, inspiring and guiding regional team leaders, managing group financial performance, overseeing technical outputs, and developing relationships with internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Growing and strengthening the team through strategic recruitment and development
  • Inspiring and guiding regional team leaders and senior professionals
  • Managing group financial performance
  • Overseeing technical outputs and ensuring reports meet SLR's standards
  • Developing relationships between internal and external clients
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience in tailings engineering, including experience within a consultancy group. They will also have a minimum of 10 years' specialisation in tailings engineering, demonstrated experience in geotechnical site investigations, and experience managing multidisciplinary projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to travel interstate are essential.
