Position Overview

The Administration Coordinator for Cultural Programs plays a pivotal role in supporting the Cultural Programs Team at Djirra. Reporting directly to the Manager of Cultural Programs, this position is essential for the development and implementation of processes, tools, and client management systems that facilitate the effective delivery of various cultural initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Cultural Programs governance structures, both internally and externally.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with external service providers to ensure diverse program delivery methods and content.
  • Assist in the coordination of various Cultural Programs, including:
    • Yarning About Culture and tailored organizational training
    • Cultural Conversations for Djirra staff
    • Cultural Conversations in Session for legal practitioners
    • Barristers Cultural Capabilities Program
Essential Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Possession of a Victorian Employees Working With Children's Check card.
  • National Police Check certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience within an Aboriginal Community Controlled organization, legal, or community environment.
  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
  • Advanced proficiency in PC applications, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
