Our services encompass holistic, culturally safe support for family violence, legal assistance, and case management, alongside cultural and wellbeing workshops. As advocates for systemic change, Djirra works to enhance access to justice and eliminate violence, empowering women in our communities.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Administration Coordinator for Cultural Programs will report directly to the Manager of Cultural Programs. This role is pivotal in supporting the Cultural Programs Team by creating processes, tools, and client management systems essential for the effective delivery of Cultural Programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing secretariat support for governance mechanisms related to Cultural Programs.
- Managing relationships with external service providers to facilitate diverse program delivery methods and content.
- Overseeing various Cultural Programs, including:
- Yarning About Culture and tailored organisational training
- Cultural Conversations for Djirra staff
- Cultural Conversations in Session for legal practitioners
- Barristers Cultural Capabilities Program

RequirementsEssential qualifications include:
- Significant experience in an administrative capacity
- A valid Victorian Employees Working With Children's Check
- National Police Check
- Current Driver's License
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience within an Aboriginal Community Controlled, legal, or community environment
- Diploma in business administration or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
