About the Role

CULTURAL EXPERIENCES ABROAD LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Coordinator to join our Sydney team. As a key member of our Academic Management Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic operations for American university students studying in our Sydney Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Advising: Provide academic guidance and support to students, working closely with those who require additional assistance or accommodations.
  • Course Management: Manage course schedules, associated field trips, and faculty database to ensure seamless academic experiences.
  • Local Registrar Functions: Serve as the primary administrator for local registrar duties, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
  • Learning Management Systems: Maintain learning management systems, including CANVAS, and provide technical support to students and faculty.
  • Syllabus Review: Conduct regular reviews of syllabi to ensure copyright compliance and prepare annual reports for the Copyright Licensing Agency.
  • Faculty Support: Provide orientation for new faculty members, visiting faculty, and student groups, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Attendance Records: Maintain accurate class attendance records and collaborate with the Program & Student Services team regarding student absences.
  • Student Feedback: Facilitate student focus groups and other feedback forums, promoting student engagement and satisfaction.
  • Academic Site Visits: Coordinate and assist with the planning of custom programs, academic site visits, including visits with our Academic Advisory Board.
  • Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records and reporting pertaining to academic operations.
  • Classroom Technology: Assist with maintaining and training faculty on classroom IT technology and facilities.
  • Emergency Support: Carry an emergency phone on a rotating schedule for student-related emergencies after hours.
  • Additional Tasks: Undertake other tasks to support the Academic Affairs team as required, contributing to the overall student experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or working towards.
  • Authorization: Documented legal authorization to work in Australia.
