Job Summary:

A.I.R Recruitment is seeking a skilled Workshop Leading Hand to join our client's team in the Hunter Valley. As a mechanical trade qualified professional, you will provide guidance and support to the workshop teams to ensure quality, revenue, and deadline targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the workshop teams to achieve quality, revenue, and deadline targets.
  • Mentor staff to improve productivity levels and morale.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, quoting, and negotiating.
  • Experience with installing equipment, fault finding, and preventative/planned maintenance.
  • Work on industrial or manufacturing processing/production lines.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and assemble/disassemble components.
  • Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Strong focus and commitment to Safety with the ability to follow Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade qualification (e.g., Fitter, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic).
  • Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
