We are seeking a skilled Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Labour Options, a fast-growing metal manufacturing company. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a production team to meet targets in a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate a team of employees to ensure quality manufacturing and meet production targets.
- Lead and organize a production team to achieve optimal results, focusing on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and maintain stock and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing waste.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to prevent defects and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate deliveries and transport, ensuring timely and efficient logistics.
- Collaborate with sales and management to coordinate orders and meet customer demands.
- Program and operate remote controls, ensuring seamless production processes.
- Manage the total production process, from raw materials to finished products.
- Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to WHS regulations and providing training to employees.
- Prepare and maintain factory paperwork, ensuring accurate records and compliance with regulations.
- Assist factory hands as needed, providing support and guidance to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Trade background in Sheet Metal, Fitting, or Boilermaking.
- Experience working with a team to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues.
- Ability to plan ahead, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing environment, preferably with a forklift license.
