We require a Technical and Workshop Liaison Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage productivity and efficiency of workshop staff
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles when necessary
- Manage workshop staffing in conjunction with the Service Manager
- Assist & Introduce new and improved workflows, based upon current workshop loading and performance
- Managing technical training for workshop staff, with franchise requirements
- Provide technical solutions to staff and customers within the agreed times
- Where required, deliver one on one training with staff
- Provide technical and non-technical information and guidance to all staff and customers as required
- Manage and create (where necessary) internal policies and procedures for improvements
- Work with Service Manager and General Manager with feedback on current or potential issues and provide internal recommendations
- Proactively manage staff and assist with performance reviews
- Provide regular reports to management
Requirements:
- Previous Foreman/Workshop Controller experience
- Qualifications in Light Vehicle Automotive (minimum), Master Technician level or similar status would be a strong advantage
- Current Air Conditioning licence
- Sound mechanical knowledge and able to work on and diagnose multiple brands
- AIS Examiner/Proprietor Ticket (favourable)
- Ability to proactively time manager staff
- Ability to coach, mentor and lead staff
- Confident skills in Customer Service and conflict resolution
- Critical thinking to problem solving
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
- Sound computer skills
- Be willing to make key decisions when required
- Current driver's license
- Permanent Residency / Citizenship to Australia
