Job Summary:
A.I.R Recruitment is seeking a skilled Workshop Leading Hand to join our client's team in the Hunter Valley. As a key member of the workshop team, you will provide guidance and support to ensure quality, revenue, and deadline targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the workshop team to achieve productivity levels and morale.
- Mentor staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with customers, quoting, and negotiating.
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing processing/production lines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Assembly and disassembly of components.
- Strong focus and commitment to Safety with the ability to follow Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Trade qualification (e.g., Fitter, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic).
- Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive can-do attitude.
Benefits:
- Full-time permanent position.
- Attractive hourly rate ($50-$55 per hour depending on experience and qualifications) + allowances.
- Monday to Friday roster.
- Company car.
- Opportunity for as much or as little overtime at penalty rates.
- Further training and development.
