About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Helping Hand. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality personal care to our clients living in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities, household chores, and social support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify and address client needs, and develop personalized care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in aged care, and apply this knowledge to improve client outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (or equivalent)
  • Current Australian driver's license
  • A registered, well-maintained, reliable, and insured vehicle
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the delivery of personal care in a community setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
