About the Role

As a key member of our Neuron Mobility team, the Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for leading our workshop and warehouse operations in Sydney. This role requires a hands-on leader who can monitor the performance of our mechanics, ensure the maintenance and repair of our e-scooters and e-bikes, and maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Neuron's Workshop Management strategy in Sydney, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the quality control and basic maintenance of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they meet Neuron's high standards.
  • Ensure the workshop team adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Workplace Health & Safety Procedures, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as shift scheduling and staffing deployment, to support our Sydney operations.
  • Manage inventory control and stocktake procedures for the Sydney warehouse, utilizing inventory management systems like Netsuite.
  • Train new e-scooter and e-bike mechanics, providing regular refresher training to maintain their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct hands-on assembly, repair, and maintenance of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring quality control measures are met.
  • Support Neuron's operations in Sydney as needed, including driving a service vehicle and assisting the ground operations team.
  • Represent Neuron as a positive brand ambassador, promoting our values and mission.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in warehouse or workshop operations, particularly in the mobility or supply-chain space, is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to service and repair e-scooters and e-bikes, including comfort with lifting, carrying, and maneuvering 25-35 kg as needed.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership, with the ability to work alongside mechanics and lead by example.
  • A process-driven mentality, with experience defining best practice warehouse procedures, especially inventory management.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task and keep up with a dynamic, fast-paced startup in a high-growth phase.
  • Keen curiosity to learn and initiative to find solutions and make improvements.
  • An open class Driver Licence.
  • A suitable smartphone to perform this role (generally an Apple or Android device from or newer).
