You will work as part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality culturally appropriate speech pathology services to children living in Alice Springs and remote communities in the Central Australia and Barkly regions.

Your focus will be on providing multidisciplinary allied health services in urban and remote settings of Central Australia and the Barkly District, with a focus on early intervention to optimise a child's developmental potential and maximise their wellbeing.

Opportunities exist to expand your clinical and professional skills, collaborate with a range of clinicians, provide support to students and junior colleagues, and enhance your ability to service a culturally diverse population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology that meet requirements for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Have postgraduate experience in providing contemporary high-level clinical Speech Pathology services to children.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and proven experience working effectively with patients and families/carers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Be able to provide clinical supervision of students and/or staff and commit to ongoing professional development.
