Job Title: Advanced Child and Family Health Practitioner
Job SummaryOur organization is seeking a highly skilled practitioner to lead early childhood health outreach across Central Australia.
- This role involves providing specialist clinical care to children under 5 years and their families through the Healthy under 5 Kids Partnering Families program.
We are looking for a proactive clinician committed to improving child and family health outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing early intervention strategies and education for Population and Primary Health Care staff.
- Conducting growth and development assessments, vaccinations, parenting support and advice in age-specific child health checks.
The ideal candidate will possess high-level clinical knowledge and skills in Child and Family Health or related field, supported by strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
A commitment to a learning culture through clinical guidance and mentoring is essential. Travel to remote communities by 4WD or light aircraft as required. A current vaccination certificate is also necessary.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and communities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role.
