The role of Lead Clinical Specialist in Early Childhood Health Outreach is a high-impact position that requires a proactive and culturally responsive clinician.
- This clinical specialist will lead early childhood health outreach across Central Australia, making a lasting impact on children and families in diverse, remote NT communities.
- Work in the Healthy under 5 Kids Partnering Families program to provide specialist clinical outreach care to children under 5 years and their families.
- Provide early intervention strategies and education to Population and Primary Health Care staff, focusing on improving the health and wellbeing of children and their families in a culturally appropriate manner.
The HU 5 KPF program incorporates growth and development assessments, vaccinations, parenting support and advice in age-specific child health checks.
Your Skills and Qualifications:- Be a registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or be eligible for same.
- Hold high-level clinical knowledge and skills in Child and Family Health or related field, supported by strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Commit to a learning culture through clinical guidance and mentoring.
- Be able to travel to remote communities by 4WD or light aircraft as required.
- Hold a current NT driver's licence (or be eligible to obtain) and be confident driving a manual vehicle in regional and remote settings.
