This role involves providing specialist clinical outreach care to children under 5 years and their families as part of a community health program. You will provide early intervention strategies and education to staff to improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families in a culturally appropriate manner.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same is essential;
- High-level clinical knowledge and skills in Child and Family Health or a related field, supported by strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are required;
- A commitment to a learning culture through clinical guidance and mentoring is necessary;
- Ability to travel to remote communities by 4WD or light aircraft as required;
- Hold a current NT driver's licence (or eligible to obtain) and be confident driving a manual vehicle in regional and remote settings;
The Healthy under 5 Kids Partnering Families program incorporates growth and development assessments, vaccinations, parenting support, and advice in age-specific child health checks.
