About the Team

As part of the Optimization & Orchestration team at TikTok, the Capacity Planning module plays a pivotal role in achieving business goals. Our team is responsible for planning workforces within Operations to drive efficiency and productivity.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform/Tools Improvements

We work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement internal platforms for resource planning and optimization. This involves conducting user research and data analysis to translate user pain points into requirements.

Strategic Analysis

Our team develops principles for resource allocation and generates comprehensive analytical reports considering business growth, cost efficiency, management optimization, and resource availability.

Stakeholder Collaboration

We collaborate effectively with regional and business line leaders to align on business objectives and key strategies. This involves working closely with stakeholders to implement planning solutions.

Team Mentorship

We mentor junior analysts to develop optimal planning solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Operational Forecasting

Our team forecasts demand and allocates resources for large-scale operational domains, particularly in content safety, to ensure the smooth operation of TikTok products.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related or similar capability
  • Proven experience in large-scale platform/system/tools design and implementation or similar capacity
  • Proven experience in project management with a strong ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning and forecasting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Industry Knowledge: Preferred experience in content safety, supply chain management, or financial sectors
  • Global Team Fit: Ability to work effectively in a global team environment with diverse perspectives and cultural sensitivity
