Job Description

We are seeking a driven agronomist to join our team in Australia.

The focus of your role will be to develop strong customer relationships in this major agricultural region, providing superior agronomic advice and inputs with a focus on broadacre agronomy and crop monitoring.

You will work closely with key clients in the Kimba region, sharing information related to environmental and seasonal conditions affecting crop production. You will also perform soil testing and study other factors affecting production to provide sound fertiliser, nutrient, and soil recommendations to improve quality and yield.

In addition, you will conduct field demonstrations and trial work for product development in conjunction with key suppliers. You will work collaboratively with branch staff to drive promotions, merchandising, and sales performance.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of horticulture/broadacre cropping, while working alongside a team within an established business servicing the needs of cutting-edge farmers.

About You:
  • You will have strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application, preferably broadacre and/or pasture experience.
  • You will have a minimum 2-3 years of experience building and ensuring successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and services.
  • You will have a history of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products and application applicable to those crops.
  • You will demonstrate excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
