Job Description

Due to continued growth, a leading FMCG company based in Sydney's Greater West is seeking an experienced Logistics Scheduling Specialist to play a key role in the national planning and scheduling of trucks from distribution centers to stores.

This position involves PM planning/scheduling on a 9-day rostered fortnight, including weekends. The successful candidate will have prior experience in domestic and interstate transport planning/scheduling/coordination. This challenging role requires a high degree of responsibility and autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective planning and execution using routing software 'Route Planner' & SAP.
  • Maintaining efficient flow of internal and external correspondence and information.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving changes and/or problems to ensure smooth execution of transport plans.
  • Using initiative to control, manage, and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work.
  • Presenting recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the efficient processing of information/data and support across all job functions.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience within Logistics operations highly regarded.
  • Understanding of different vehicle types (B-doubles or rigid vehicles).
  • Experience with the 'Route Planner' software highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism and dedication.
  • Accountability and ownership in areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • An ability to work autonomously while contributing in an environment of teamwork.
Benefits and Remuneration

The company offers above market remuneration, including $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus excellent working conditions, onsite parking, and continued pay increases yearly. The successful candidate will also receive 5 weeks annual leave and have the opportunity to secure their future with a progressive company that rewards its employees.
