An exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within 13cabs' technical team.
The successful candidate will oversee a small team of installation technicians, providing guidance and mentorship in the assessment, repair, installation, and deinstallation of taxi equipment.
This role reports directly to the TAXITECH Manager and involves supervising TAXITECH Installers.
About Your Responsibilities:- Lead the development and mentorship of junior install technicians.
- Accountable for the day-to-day running of the install bay, reporting directly to the TAXITECH Manager.
- Ensure timely repairs of MTData dispatch equipment, EFTPOS machines, taxi meters, security cameras, and other taxi equipment.
- Perform fault diagnosis and obtain required parts and materials for repairs.
- Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues related to the MTData dispatch system, camera system, and Cabcharge FAREWAY plus system.
- Remove and apply decals and livery from taxis.
- Interpret manuals and software to identify spare parts and liaise with the TAXITECH Manager regarding part ordering.
- Maintain shop equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventative maintenance.
- Listen to operator and driver complaints, conduct inspections, repair engine failures, repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, and replace parts and components.
- Comply with all documented health and safety policies, procedures, work instructions, and verbal instructions issued by the TAXITECH Manager.
- Evaluate work efficiency and ensure it aligns with industry standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate service and administrative records in compliance with company record-keeping requirements.
- Ability to lead a team of technical installers.
- Technical automotive installation experience.
- High attention to detail.
- Customer service ethic.
- Experience prioritizing tasks and working under pressure.
- Ability to work with diverse cultures.
