About the Role

The Project Officer will work with the Department of Aboriginal Affairs NSW, New England North West regional team, to facilitate partnerships between Aboriginal community governance bodies, government agencies, and the private and not for profit sectors to achieve common goals that support the social, economic, and culturally development of Aboriginal communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.
  • Facilitate partnerships between Aboriginal community governance bodies, government agencies, and the private and not for profit sectors.
  • Support the development and delivery of projects that promote the social, economic, and culturally development of Aboriginal communities.

Requirements

  • Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
  • Experience in working in an engaging environment with Aboriginal community organisations, Aboriginal Businesses, and the general Aboriginal community.
  • Ability to travel and hold a Class C drivers license.
