Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer

Join our dynamic team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) as a Project Officer, New England. In this exciting role, you will work closely with the Department of Aboriginal Affairs NSW, New England North West regional team to perform project management and support activities.
The successful candidate will facilitate partnerships between Aboriginal community governance bodies, government agencies, and the private and not for profit sectors to achieve common goals that support the social, economic, and culturally development of Aboriginal communities.
This is an Identified role under the Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. The ideal candidate will be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in working in an engaging environment with Aboriginal community organisations, Aboriginal Businesses, and the general Aboriginal community.
