We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to join our team at Legal Aid NSW in the New England North West region.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work with the Department of Aboriginal Affairs NSW, New England North West regional team to perform project management and support activities. This includes facilitating partnerships between Aboriginal community governance bodies, government agencies, and the private and not for profit sectors to achieve common goals that support the social, economic, and culturally development of Aboriginal communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement projects to support the social, economic, and culturally development of Aboriginal communities;
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal community governance bodies, government agencies, and the private and not for profit sectors;
- Contribute to the development and delivery of projects in line with established objectives;
- Facilitate partnerships between stakeholders to achieve common goals;
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal community governance and community engagement;
- Knowledge and experience of the New England North West region;
- Innovative approaches to contract management;
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexible working arrangements are supported and can be negotiated with management.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer flexible working arrangements, inclusive parental leave, flex leave, great learning and development opportunities, employee support services, fitness and well-being programs, and staff-led networks.
This is an ongoing full-time role based in the New England North West region. The successful candidate will be required to travel and hold a Class C drivers license.
