Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior External Dispute Resolution Officer to join our External Customer Relations team at Suncorp Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of insurance complaints referred to external dispute resolution schemes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, balancing empathy with commercial acumen, to achieve high-quality solutions for customers and the business.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality submissions and correspondence to external dispute resolution schemes, such as AFCA.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, their representatives, and internal stakeholders to negotiate and influence resolution agreements.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including case workers and industry forums.
  • Analyse and determine the appropriate course of action in managing complaints, utilising industry knowledge, legal principles, and internal policies.
  • Convey complex information in plain English to various audiences, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and dispute resolution skills, with a strong understanding of insurance and legal principles.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and tools, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • A desire to balance customer-centricity with commercial acumen, and a willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge.
