Senior External Dispute Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior External Dispute Resolution Officer to join our External Customer Relations team at Suncorp Group.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse portfolio of insurance complaints referred to external dispute resolution schemes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, balancing empathy with commercial acumen, to achieve high-quality solutions for customers and the business.
- Prepare and submit high-quality submissions and correspondence to external dispute resolution schemes, such as AFCA.
- Communicate effectively with customers, their representatives, and internal stakeholders to negotiate and influence resolution agreements.
- Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including case workers and industry forums.
- Analyse and determine the appropriate course of action in managing complaints, utilising industry knowledge, delegations, and internal policies.
- Convey complex information in plain English to various audiences, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Excellent communication and dispute resolution skills, with a strong understanding of insurance and legal principles.
- Proficiency in IT systems and tools, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer-centricity and commercial acumen.
- Tertiary qualifications in legal, finance, or a related field, with a desire to balance customer needs with business objectives.
