We are seeking an experienced Compliance Leader to join our Australia and New Zealand team.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements. As Head of Compliance ANZ, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Australian and New Zealand businesses comply with all local regulatory requirements and Assurant's Corporate Compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of Compliance APAC to manage effective relationships with regulators such as APRA, ASIC, RBNZ, FMA & ACCC.
  • Manage relationships with industry bodies like the ICA and institutions like AFCA and IFSO.
  • Oversee the VSC ANZ Branch's compliance program and ensure adequate oversight of compliance processes and protocols.
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to provide assistance on compliance matters.

You will be responsible for providing input into strategy, business planning, budgeting, and financial condition reporting to ensure material decision-making is compliance-based.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in business, finance, commerce, or a relevant discipline.
  • At least 7 years' experience in a Compliance Officer or Manager role or comparable experience.
  • Membership of a professional body like the GRC Institute for compliance professionals.
  • Experience working within a niche or composite insurance company, bank, or professional services firm.
