The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced leader to coach, inspire and motivate the team to achieve operational, financial and program deliverables. Key responsibilities include ensuring safety and well-being of visitors and employees, developing leaders, driving a high-performance culture, achieving performance targets and maintaining facilities to approved standards.

You will develop and execute plans through collaboration with the Centre's leadership team, key stakeholders and local authorities. With experience in sales, financial and risk management, you will continue to drive the centre's overall success.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure safety and well-being of visitors and employees
  • Develop and coach leaders to deliver on KPIs
  • Drive a high-performance community-minded culture
  • Achievement of performance targets
  • Maintain a strong relationship with local authorities
  • Implement a high-value customer service proposition
  • Recruitment of diverse and passionate employees
  • Train staff to ensure required knowledge and capability
  • Identify talent and develop career progression paths
  • Maintain facilities to approved standards

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in managing a similar leisure or aquatic facility
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Legal working rights in Australia
