Rehabilitation Counsellor Role Overview

We're seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation service, you'll work closely with employees to help them recover from workplace injuries and regain their confidence and independence.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage complex physical and psychological injury cases, providing health coaching, career guidance, and return-to-work support.
  2. Perform vocational assessments in-person and virtually.
  3. Create networks with employers within NSW.
  4. Utilize award-winning psychosocial risk assessment tools to achieve successful outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • Degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology.
  • Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW, or APHRA.
  • Experience working in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and consultation skills.
  • Ability to establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships.
