About this opportunity:
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria seeks a visionary leader to drive excellence in public service. This role involves leading the development and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based programs that support critical areas of the justice system.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee program standards for specialist courts, ensuring consistency and alignment with legislation.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation across all service areas.
- Provide expert guidance on risk assessment, case planning, and therapeutic justice principles.
- Collaborate with judicial officers, court leaders, and frontline staff to embed quality and consistency in program delivery.
- Build strong partnerships with government departments, justice and social service organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Influence policy and practice through strategic leadership and expert advice.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Extensive experience managing large teams and leading service delivery in health, disability, or community welfare sectors.
- Deep understanding of criminogenic risk factors, behaviour change, and therapeutic justice.
- Expertise in family violence dynamics, the MARAM framework, and information sharing legislation.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- A track record of driving innovation, quality improvement, and service excellence.
- Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in social work, psychology, allied health, disability, or a related field.
