As a Catering Service Associate, you will be instrumental in the seamless execution of our events by delivering exceptional and attentive service to our patrons throughout their dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Setup: Assist in the arrangement and preparation of event spaces, which includes organizing tables, chairs, linens, and table settings in accordance with event requirements.
- Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages to attendees during events, adhering to established service protocols and presentation standards. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Guest Engagement: Engage with guests in a polite and professional manner, addressing their needs and inquiries throughout the event. Anticipate guest preferences and provide tailored service whenever possible.
- Table Oversight: Monitor dining areas during events, clearing used dishes, replenishing beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the service area.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work in unison with fellow catering staff, including servers, bartenders, and event planners, to ensure efficient event operations and guest satisfaction.
- Policy Compliance: Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards consistently, including food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Issue Management: Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and escalate to management as necessary to ensure swift resolution.
- Event Breakdown: Assist in the disassembly and cleanup of event spaces post-events, which includes clearing tables, packing equipment, and returning items to storage.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a catering server or in a related hospitality position is preferred but not mandatory.
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities, with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Physical endurance and the ability to lift and transport trays, tables, and other event-related equipment as necessary.
- Food safety certification and alcohol service training (e.g., TIPS) are advantageous but not required.
