Your New Role

In this newly created position, you will coordinate effective and efficient operations of our services and associated support activities. Our teams operate across multiple regions, dedicated to supporting those experiencing homelessness. We provide meals, blankets, and information to those in need, while offering friendship, support, and compassion.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, including WHS and Food Handling standards.
  • Support volunteers to deliver services each evening, requiring some after-hours on-call support.
  • Build partnerships with government agencies, community groups, corporate organisations, and stakeholders to facilitate financial and in-kind sponsorship and support.
  • Oversee program maintenance, working with stakeholders, service areas, and office spaces.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance and registrations to ensure compliance.
  • Lead a team of employees and volunteers, including attraction, recruitment, onboarding, and training, to deliver services and support for the program.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by implementing workplace health and safety practices.
  • Implement risk management protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment, and governance requirements.
To be Successful in this Role:
  • You will need previous administrative experience, including Microsoft Office Products, and advanced organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, relationship management skills, and organisational skills are essential.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to manage staff and volunteers effectively.
  • Ability to provide small and large group education sessions on social justice issues.
  • Sound knowledge of homelessness-related issues.
  • Understanding and experience with conflict resolution.
  • Unrestricted Driver's License and confidence to drive a vehicle.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WH&S and Food Handling requirements.
