About this role:

The Medical Services Support Coordinator plays a pivotal part in ensuring high-quality service delivery across the division. As a key member of the Medical Administration Team, you will oversee core functions and guide staff to achieve departmental goals.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to enhance their profile through exposure to high-level medical administration and leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include providing administrative and operational support to the Director of Medical Services and the Medical Services Operations Manager, as well as facilitating and coordinating key medical workforce processes.

As the Medical Services Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing recruitment, credentialing, appointments, rostering, Medical Board registration, VISAs, and staff transitions.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead with impact and drive operational excellence.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will contribute to strategic outcomes by aligning administrative operations with the broader objectives of the organisation.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or a combination of study and work experience relevant to the position
  • Extensive working knowledge of the NSW Hospital Medical Workforce structures
  • Proven ability to provide leadership with a focus on negotiating and managing change effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume workload, competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound working knowledge of industrial awards, agreements, visa, and registration requirements pertaining to medical staff
  • Demonstrated and well-developed planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to show initiative and work unsupervised
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)
