Senior Supply Chain Manager

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through effective supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of products while minimizing costs.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and partners to negotiate favorable terms and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source and procure high-quality products that meet customer demands.
- Work closely with the sales team to design and execute distribution strategies that meet customer needs and preferences.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to ensure optimal rotation and minimize waste.
- Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and provide recommendations for product line extensions.
- Support the New Product Development team to launch successful new products and ensure their quality meets customer expectations.
- Manage supplier partnerships to ensure they meet technical requirements and adhere to quality standards.
- Optimize returnable packaging allocation and balancing to reduce costs and environmental impact.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the fresh produce industry.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with ability to maintain strong ties with 3rd-party growers.
- Business acumen and analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders and drive results.
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as agriculture, horticulture, or business; preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Ability to travel as required to meet business needs.
