About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Global Produce Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain of fresh produce from farms and suppliers around the world.

The successful candidate will have experience in procurement, supply chain management, and relationship building with growers and suppliers. You will work closely with our sales team to determine the most cost-effective distribution solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement of fresh produce from global sources, ensuring quality, specifications, and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key growers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Develop and execute strategies to minimize freight costs and optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new product opportunities and develop sourcing plans.
  • Monitor and communicate stock levels, rotation, and product quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Solid communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build strong relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • A bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
