Job Role

The role of a Technical Support Specialist involves providing timely and efficient technical assistance to staff and approved associates.

  • Provide technical support through phone calls, visits, and email requests.
  • Offer remote assistance, conduct diagnostics, and resolve desktop hardware and software issues.
  • Answer user inquiries about computer operation to resolve problems.
  • Configure and install end-user solutions and software.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Updating service desk ticket status to resolve 85% of requests on first contact.
  • Assisting with identifying problematic IT systems and diagnosing network connectivity issues.
  • User account administration for employees.
  • Documenting processes and common solutions in knowledge management systems.
  • Managing end-user asset information and assisting with equipment replacement and decommissioning.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to other teams in IT.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

  • Customer service experience and expertise in installing and supporting desktop hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, application deployment systems, Citrix, and Exchange server environments.
  • Ability to identify solutions for technical and procedural problems with various devices and software.
