Job Title: Livestock Genetics Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in delivering world-class outcomes for the Australian red meat industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects that address key industry priorities, working closely with contracted research organisations and service providers.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, experience in genetics and genomics, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also possess the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and represent MLA at industry events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans to achieve strategic objectives
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings and workshops
  • Represent MLA at industry events and conferences
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., agriculture, biology, engineering)
  • At least 5 years' experience in project management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of genetics and genomics concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
