About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Genetic Strategist to join our Genetics team and cover a period of maternity leave for 16 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic plans to address industry priorities for genetics and genomics within the red meat industry
  • Work closely with research organisations and service providers to ensure timely delivery of research outcomes
  • Manage the National Livestock Genetics Consortium (NLGC) Taskforce
  • Facilitate the Livestock Genetics Project Call process where required.
  • Represent the industry at genetics RD&A events, including forums, workshops, seminars, field days and conferences
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and papers for the Livestock Genetics program for internal use as well as key stakeholders.
