Lead Genetics Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project coordinator to join our genetics team for a period of 16 months. This role can be based in one of our offices in North Sydney, Brisbane or Armidale.

About the Role
  • Develop plans that address industry priorities for genetics and genomics investment in the red meat industry.
  • Work closely with contracted research organisations and service providers to ensure timely delivery of research outcomes.
  • Assist with management of the National Livestock Genetics Consortium Taskforce.
  • Facilitate and manage the Livestock Genetics Project Call process where required.
  • Represent us at industry events, including forums, workshops, seminars, field days and conferences.
  • Prepare reports and papers for the Livestock Genetics program for internal use and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and direction of project teams.
  • Coordination of project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Project risk management and issue resolution.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field, such as business administration, project management, or agriculture.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in an agricultural or research environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.
