About the Role
A unique and rewarding role to join our Genetics team to cover a period of maternity leave for 16 months. This role can be based in one of our MLA offices in North Sydney, Brisbane or Armidale.
Our ideal Project Manager – Livestock Genetics R&D has the ability to:
- Work collaboratively in MLA to develop the strategy and implementation plans that addresses the industry priorities for the investment in genetics and genomics within the red meat industry
- Work closely with contracted research organisations and service providers to ensure timely delivery of research outcomes
- Assist with management of the National Livestock Genetics Consortium (NLGC) Taskforce
- Facilitate and manage the Livestock Genetics Project Call process where required.
- Representation of MLA in the context of genetics RD&A at industry events, including forums, workshops, seminars, field days and conferences
- Assist with the preparation of reports and papers for the Livestock Genetics program for internal use as well as key industry stakeholders.
