Senior Genetics Development Professional

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic plans for genetics research and development within the red meat industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with industry stakeholders, contracted research organisations, and internal teams to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to address industry priorities for genetics research and development
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver research outcomes on time and within budget
  • Manage the National Livestock Genetics Consortium Taskforce to achieve program objectives
  • Facilitate the Livestock Genetics Project Call process to ensure timely delivery of research projects
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, including forums, workshops, seminars, field days, and conferences
  • Prepare reports and papers for the Livestock Genetics program for internal use and key industry stakeholders
