Project Management Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with a Genetics team and cover a period of maternity leave for 16 months.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely in a collaborative environment to develop strategic plans and implementation strategies that address industry priorities for investment in genetics and genomics within the red meat industry.

  • Develop strategic plans and implementation strategies with the Genetics team to address industry priorities for investment in genetics and genomics within the red meat industry.
  • Work collaboratively with research organisations and service providers to ensure timely delivery of research outcomes.
  • Assist with management of the National Livestock Genetics Consortium (NLGC) Taskforce.
  • Facilitate and manage the Livestock Genetics Project Call process where required.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, including forums, workshops, seminars, field days, and conferences.
  • Prepare reports and papers for the Livestock Genetics program for internal use as well as key industry stakeholders.

Key skills and qualifications required for this role include:

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Experience working in a genetics or genomics environment would be highly regarded.
