Job Description

The Cemeteries Officer is responsible for the administration and support of all cemeteries managed by the trust, ensuring compliance with Department of Health guidelines and relevant legislation.

This role involves scheduling and coordinating burials and cremated remains interments, maintaining accurate records, and providing advice to the public on burial and cremation memorial options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with bookings for burials, cremated remains interments, and plaque orders, adhering to Department of Health guidelines.
  • Meet with the public to provide information and assistance in selecting burial or cremation memorial sites.
  • Provide correct and up-to-date information on grave and cremation memorial options available for purchase and associated fees.
  • Sound understanding of financial practices and related administration functions.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Current Police Check.
  • Working with Children Check - employer.
  • Current Victorian Driver's licence.
  • Employee must declare their COVID-19 Vaccination status, if vaccinated, evidence of vaccination certificate will be required.
