Job Title: Sexton/Cemetery Operator

 

Job Description:

  • Manage and coordinate burial preparations for funeral ceremonies.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work around the cemetery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dig graves.
  • Prepare graves for burials.
  • Conduct funerals.
  • Provide customer service to families.
  • Maintain cemeteries in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Repair and restore damaged gravesites.
  • Apply commemorative plaques to graves.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cemetery operations.
  • Grave Safe Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • MR license desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A caring and empathetic nature.
