Job Title: Building Operations Coordinator

Location: North Melbourne, VIC

Duration: 12 weeks, part-time (24 hours)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Job Overview

This role is ideal for students or recent graduates from a construction management, project management, or engineering background looking to gain hands-on industry experience.

You will work closely with an Operations Manager across multiple commercial building sites, acquiring in-depth knowledge of project delivery and facilities management best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day site duties across 10+ commercial properties.
  • Assist with construction administration, including documentation and planning.
  • Contribute to construction project planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate trades and contractors, including site inductions.
  • Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers.
  • Provide office-based project support services.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
