We are opening a new wellbeing hub for veterans and their families in Northern Adelaide. Funded by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, this welcoming space will provide access to a range of wellbeing services and social activities.

This wellbeing model for veterans focuses on several key areas including health, education and skills, housing, social support and connection, employment, income and finance, and recognition and respect.

The hub will feature various social elements such as coffee and chat sessions, music, art, cooking, walking, and BBQs in the park. It will also include facilities like activity rooms, study and conference spaces, and a children's play area.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based at our brand-new site in Playford. We offer a competitive salary, superannuation, and salary packaging options. Additional benefits include five days' wellbeing leave per year and Fitness Passport nationally.

Your Opportunity

As a veteran or community services professional, you will have the opportunity to work with a warm and welcoming team to deliver vital services to those who need them most. Your exceptional administration and customer service skills will be invaluable in this role.

You will be responsible for supporting the Community Engagement Coordinator in organizing and attending community functions. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, order office supplies, and liaise with contractors.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • A background in either Veterans Services, community, or other non-profit environments
  • Exceptional administration and customer service skills
  • Experience in events support
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Suite, including Teams
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Emotional maturity and an understanding, compassionate nature
  • Great organizational and time management skills
