Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and values-driven Homelessness Specialist: Tenders & Standard, at our Coburg North location. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people who need help most.

About the Role
  • This role will support and coordinate service quality improvement and accreditation.
  • You will also support, coordinate and develop material to support tender and other funding applications.
  • In addition, you will identify future funding opportunities to extend service delivery profile.
  • You will assist in the development of national standards, quality frameworks and service improvement.
  • Furthermore, you will develop processes and procedures that facilitate consistent evidence informed service delivery.
  • Lastly, you will develop materials or collateral that supports good practice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

The Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high-quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

Skill Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and relevant experience.
  • Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in social and community services programs including program management in Homelessness and community housing.
  • Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the Homelessness sector.
  • Experience in translating high level strategy into practice at a service level.
  • A current drivers licence.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, plus meals and entertainment benefits ($15,900 tax free), flexible working conditions, health, fitness and financial discounts / benefits, paid parental leave - 12 weeks, up to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme, up to 5 days paid leave per year to 'volunteer' in a TSA program or activity, employee assistance program - independent confidential counselling service, opportunity for career development, an inclusive culture of dedicated, passionate and professional team members, positively supporting and impacting the lives of others through your career contribution.
